Hey Big Spender....

If I had any doubt on how the McCain/Palin ticket was going to govern if they had won the White House, this past week's events gave me some very big clues.

First off,The G.O.P. spent $150,000.00 on clothes and accessories for Sarah Palin and her family.

Now,I don't know about you,but if I were a Republican and I believed in my party enough to spend,say,$50.00 or a $100.00 on supporting the campaign,I would be very pissed off that they spent that amount of money buying Sarah Palin's 16 year old daughter a maternity blouse.

Nitpicking you say....hey,I am not the one who said that it was wrong to bring her into the campaign.

HELLO!?!

In these hard economic times shouldn't our 'leaders' at least be giving the appearance of thrift?I mean, they are called,'leaders' for gosh sake.Which means, per say, that we are supposed to 'follow their lead'!!!

They talk about responsibility in government and then they take their constituents (G.O.P. DONORS) money and spend it on unneeded and frivolous items such as designer clothing?!?

Knock!Knock!

Hello!?!

Do they really need to be spending MY money on these things?

Hey,if they want to spend their own money....

....BIG CLUE ALERT....

MORE OF THE SAME! MORE OF THE SAME! MORE OF THE SAME!

...Now,it's not that I don't believe that every candidate doesn't deserve to look good on the campaign trail, but,if this isn't shameful governmental waste at it's best,it,also, isn't the exception that makes the rule either.

Another, perhaps, more telling example of waste already within the 'strapped' McCain/Palin campaign is the highest paid person on the ticket's staff...

...Sarah Palin's make up artist!!!

KNOCK!KNOCK!

IS THERE ANYBODY HOME?!?

The Grand 'Ol Party paid Sarah Palin's make up artist $22,800.00 just for two weeks service-in the first two weeks of October-alone!!!

This is more than they spent on any other advisor,be it foreign or domestic!

I thought we were voting for Sarah Palin because she was, supposedly,'hot' !

But,what the freak is she...?!?

Dorian Gray?!?

Hey!

Don't get mad at me!

I am not the one basing my political decisions on looks here...

...but judging on the amount of $$$ the G.O.P. is spending on this...

...The Republican Party sure as hell is!

Is this really the change we want in Washington?

Can you truthfully look yourself in the mirror and say,"Yes,this kind of frivolousness spending is going to help me in the next 4-8 years???

Judging on the amount of moolla the McCain/Palin ticket is spending on looks,I say, without this shameful amount of waste, they can't look themselves in the mirror, either.

SOME FUNNY FUNNIES

Acorn E story

According to sources close to the Republican Party the recent gaffs made by the McCain/Palin ticket are just the final set up in the Republican Party's platform plan to steal the election.

"Honestly,"said the source,"We don't care if we win or lose. This election will be won in the Supreme Court-which by the way has a Republican bias."

Asked to further expand on this subject our source commented,"It all comes down to,'Acorn'.We will contest any Democratic victory as being unfair and corrupt.Let's face it:if we take it to the court, the Supreme Court is on our side.'Acorn' is just the needed means to an end."

'Acorn',and acronym for,'The Association Of Community Organizations For Reform Now' has been heavily campaigning to register new voters. The Republicans see this effort as a mostly Democratic move{because most new voters tend to be young voters, whom tend to be Democratic voters},so they are voicing concerns of fraud in 'Acorn's registration campaign.

"Honestly,it doesn't even need to be close. We won't roll over like Gore or Kerry. In the very least,we hope to extend Bush's presidency until there can be a new election or two.But what we ultimately hope for is a total and complete McCain victory."

The Hippcratic Party will continue to follow this story.

Thy Shalt Not....

Hello,folks,glad to be here.

Every time I feel like being 'Biblically' judgemental,I like to pick up my Bible and turn to 'Leviticus,Chapter 19'.

Oooh, boy, not many of us pass the mustard on this test.Ouch!

But,that is just the point-according to this-wearing a polyester/cotton blend shirt is a stain/a sin and an offence against God...as are soo many other things we seem to do on a daily basis.

It is said that we simply can't pick and choose which 'laws' we are to follow...but according to this...it sure seems we chose quite frequently.

How can we not?Even in The Bible there are amendments and abbreviations to these laws. The Biblical writers themselves seem to believe that these laws lived and breathed and changed with changes in society.

So how can I honestly condemn someone on codes and laws written thousands of years ago:without picking and choosing?

Bibically,I can't.

This is where I proclaim my love for the Lord. Our lives in Christ(if you are a Christian) are believed not to be based on 'the Law',but on the love of God and neighbor. In other words,on mercy, compassion and love.

Mercy,Compassion and Love.

Strong beliefs-even stronger words.

But,this is what 'I' believe.

Soo,just for fun,here is Leviticus 19:

Leviticus Chapter 19
1
The LORD said to Moses,
2
"Speak to the whole Israelite community and tell them: Be holy, for I, the LORD your God, am holy.
3
Revere your mother and father, and keep my sabbaths. I, the LORD, am your God.
4
"Do not turn aside to idols, nor make molten gods for yourselves. I, the LORD, am your God.
5
"When you sacrifice your peace offering to the LORD, if you wish it to be acceptable,
6
it must be eaten on the very day of your sacrifice or on the following day. Whatever is left over until the third day shall be burned up in the fire.
7
If any of it is eaten on the third day, the sacrifice will be unacceptable as refuse;
8
whoever eats of it then shall pay the penalty for having profaned what is sacred to the LORD. Such a one shall be cut off from his people.
9
"When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not be so thorough that you reap the field to its very edge, nor shall you glean the stray ears of grain.
10
Likewise, you shall not pick your vineyard bare, nor gather up the grapes that have fallen. These things you shall leave for the poor and the alien. I, the LORD, am your God.
11
"You shall not steal. You shall not lie or speak falsely to one another.
12
You shall not swear falsely by my name, thus profaning the name of your God. I am the LORD.
13
"You shall not defraud or rob your neighbor. You shall not withhold overnight the wages of your day laborer.
14
You shall not curse the deaf, or put a stumbling block in front of the blind, but you shall fear your God. I am the LORD.
15
"You shall not act dishonestly in rendering judgment. Show neither partiality to the weak nor deference to the mighty, but judge your fellow men justly.
16
You shall not go about spreading slander among your kinsmen; nor shall you stand by idly when your neighbor's life is at stake. I am the LORD.
17
"You shall not bear hatred for your brother in your heart. Though you may have to reprove your fellow man, do not incur sin because of him.
18
1 Take no revenge and cherish no grudge against your fellow countrymen. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.
19
"Keep my statutes: do not breed any of your domestic animals with others of a different species; do not sow a field of yours with two different kinds of seed; and do not put on a garment woven with two different kinds of thread.
20
2 "If a man has carnal relations with a female slave who has already been living with another man but has not yet been redeemed or given her freedom, they shall be punished but not put to death, because she is not free.
21
The man, moreover, shall bring to the entrance of the meeting tent a ram as his guilt offering to the LORD.
22
With this ram the priest shall make atonement before the LORD for the sin he has committed, and it will be forgiven him.
23
3 "When you come into the land and plant any fruit tree there, first look upon its fruit as if it were uncircumcised. For three years, while its fruit remains uncircumcised, it may not be eaten.
24
In the fourth year, however, all of its fruit shall be sacred to the LORD as a thanksgiving feast to him.
25
Not until the fifth year may you eat its fruit. Thus it will continue its yield for you. I, the LORD, am your God.
26
"Do not eat meat with the blood still in it. Do not practice divination or soothsaying.
27
4 Do not clip your hair at the temples, nor trim the edges of your beard.
28
Do not lacerate your bodies for the dead, and do not tattoo yourselves. I am the LORD.
29
"You shall not degrade your daughter by making a prostitute of her; else the land will become corrupt and full of lewdness.
30
Keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary. I am the LORD.
31
"Do not go to mediums or consult fortune-tellers, for you will be defiled by them. I, the LORD, am your God.
32
"Stand up in the presence of the aged, and show respect for the old; thus shall you fear your God. I am the LORD.
33
"When an alien resides with you in your land, do not molest him.
34
You shall treat the alien who resides with you no differently than the natives born among you; have the same love for him as for yourself; for you too were once aliens in the land of Egypt. I, the LORD, am your God.
35
"Do not act dishonestly in using measures of length or weight or capacity.
36
You shall have a true scale and true weights, an honest ephah and an honest hin. I, the LORD, am your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.
37
Be careful, then, to observe all my statutes and decrees. I am the LORD."

McCain Via 'Rolling Stone'

Anyone still undecided about their choice for president should read this article about John McCain via the latest 'Rolling Stone' magazine....but I know you probably won't.
