If you gave a man a fish, you feed him for a day.If you show him how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime. Jesus said to them,"Children, have you caught anything to eat?"They answered him,"No." So he said to them, "Cast the net over the right side of the boat and you will find something." So they cast it,and were not able to pull it in because of the number of fish. BILL O’REILLY [ on food stamps]: The problem I have… is that you’re helping one group by hurting another group – and a bigger group. And so I don’t know if Jesus is gonna be down with that. He said to him a third time,"Simon, son of John,do you love me?"Peter was distressed that he had said to him a third time,"Do you love me?"and said to him,"Lord, you know everything;you know that I love you." And what would such a policy look like? We actually have a pretty solid idea of the keys to getting out of and/or staying out of poverty: (1) finish school; (2) do not get pregnant outside marriage; and (3) get a job, any job, and stick with it.
Then the king will say to those at his right hand,"Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;for I was hungry and you gave me food,I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,I was a stranger and you welcomed me,I was naked and you gave me clothing,I was sick and you took care of me,I was in prison and you visited me."
