The Comic Of The Week

First off,This has been a fun week in the funnies.There were mucho funny comics this week.

And,for that matter,the whole week of 'Frog Applause' just just kickin'!

But,just having come back from Port Clinton,Ohio where the mayflies come off of Lake Erie soo thick that stores use showshovels to clear them off their sidewalks,this,'Mother Goose And Grimm',by Mike Peters, has to be the comic of the week.

Due to circumstances beyond my control I was unable to publish the comic of the week last week.Sometimes Karma is a bitch,sometimes a lover.Karma went my way this time.Both last week's comic and this one are both by cartoonist,Signe Wilkinson.Her,'Family Tree',strip from the Wednesday of last week was super funny.That makes it the comic of last week.

This week,Signe had an absolutely funny political cartoon published in The Philadelphia Daily News.It is so gosh darn funny that it is the comic of the week.

First off,this 'Baldo' is the best 4th of July cartoon,bar none.

Second place for the week is this Barney Google(the orginal Google:-).

But the funniest comic of this week is the 'Monty'(by Jim Meddick).It's funny 'cuz it's true,that is why it is the comic of the week.

In a week that had soo many important great strips....

...I almost feel guilty going with a corporation strip.But this 'Dennis The Menace' was the only strip that actually made me LOL.That is why it is the comic of the week.

Gramma Passes Away

My dear beloved Mom,Gramma Tillie,passed away at 5:20 am Sunday,June 15th,2008.

I had the privilege of encouraging and being with her during her final stages.

Mom passed after rallying to say her goodbyes and to tell us all that she loved us.

Mom was a very religious Catholic and went with conviction,hope and peace.Being with her was one of the most wunderful experiences of my life.

I love you Mom.Put in a good word for me,will ya?
