One of the glories of having have raised triplet boys,is that through out their growing up,you got to watch some fun 'kid' movies that you normally wouldn't have otherwise seen.One of these movies was a 1991 movie called,'3 Ninjas'.It was a movie about these three boys being taught the way of the ninja by their grandpa.In the original (there are many sequels) three stoner,surfer type dudes try to kidnap them.One of them(the one named Marcus,here) is a Sean Penn/Jeff Spicoli clone...except he take takes the language of 'Dude' to new levels.The only word this Marcus uses in this whole movie is the admonition of,'Dude!'.
In this clip you see a bit of that.Throughout the constant reviewing of the movie(sometimes over and over again)I came to really admire this use of 'dude'.This Marcus character expressed all sorts of feelings-joy,sorrow,surprise,pain,etc-just through the use of the word,'Dude'.A most excellent performance.The more I saw it,the more stupidly I thought of what a great acting job this dude was doing....
...DUDE!
