NOTE:The 'Great Andrew' predicts! I have no way of getting an advance copy of the latest Harry Potter book,'The Deathly Hallows',and even if I did,I would not divulge anything that is in it.These are simply my best predictions on what I think is going to happen in this,the final book.I base my predictions on my own writing skills.1:I predict that I will get most of these wrong.
2:Harry will die,BUT,through either Neville's or Malfoy's interference,the spell will be reversed and will kill Voldemort instead.
3:Darco Malfoy will die trying to save Harry.
4:Dumbledore lives.
5:Ron and Hermione will realize that they love each other when Ron almost dies or vanishes.
6:Sirius Black will return with somebody.
7:Wormtail will refuse to do Voldemort's bidding and will die a hero.
8:A house elf will deliver Harry and Neville up to 'He Who Must Not Be Named'.
9:There will be Quidditch.
10:It will be revealed that Dumbledoor and Snape traded places in the last book.
11:Luna Lovegood will be Harry's true love.
12:Snape will become the dark Arts teacher for good.
There you have it.How right/how wrong will I be????

God,I must be the only person on this planet that hates those books and movies!!!!!! With a huge passion. I am a LOTR person. Really do not like stories that have kids as the main characters. Very rare for me. In the town that I do EMS they are predicting, a la USA Today about 12,000 people for the big HP party this weekend. I did not sign up for any extra detail or community service for that festival!! UGH!!!! I am glad it is the last book and people will stop talking about it.

I have loved this whole series of books and I consider the 1st movie one of the best movies of all time...the acting is no worse then Star Wars...and after a McMillion viewings I have come to realize what a masterpiece Cris Columbus made in it.
But seriously..it is OK that you don't like them..I am just joking around...what can you expect froma muggle:-)
No Dharma, you have an ally. I read the first book because I had to see what all the hype was about. I just didn't get it. The characters were underdeveloped and the plot had so many holes in it that it barely made sense.
Then I thought maybe I'd make more sense of it if I watched the movie. Nope, continuity issues again.
I dunno, maybe I'll give it another chance someday.

But then again,if I am looking for plot holes,the White House's stance on Iraq is the most cutting edge.
Oh come on!! I think it is all in the eye of the be holder. I thought the first one was so boring that I don't think I made it past the first couple of chapters. I did not find any magic. I thought it was kind of silly. They were childrens stories at best. Nothing captivating for the adult mind,in my opinion. Tedious to me.
well...I never have been accused of having an adult mind.The fact is I love all sorts of books even ADULT ones;-)
I know that is where we differ, you read all kinds of things to read them. I only read those things that have a meaning or a purpose in my life. The things that I read for sheer entertainment also have to be chosen wisely and of a certain interest. Ijust can not go willy nilly to a store and pick up a random book. I just do not have the time or the patience to wade through something that could be a waste oftime. That is why I am careful about what I choose to read. When I do have the time for "fun" reading I still like to make choices from books that I have heard about or read about in other publications etc. Or I go with authors that I am familiar with.
Hmmmm,it almost sounds like you are putting me down....I have read 'War and Peace(a surprizing ly easy read)';The Grapes of Wrath;Dune,and yes,all sort of what you would call trash.I read biographies;history books,comedies,and in their own way they all help me.Even the ADULT books
Dune was a very good book with great characterization. Like Esteban said I think the characters are thin in the Potter books. That is all. Just too thin for me. Not putting you down, you are too sensitive, just saying that you read many things to read. I only read particular things. Even things thatare considered "classics" may not fall into the arena of the time I migh tmake. I just don't think that they all have to be read. The classics are all good and that, but even when I taught I tried to choose more exciting and interesting things than whether or not they were a classic. By helping you, do you mean for entertainment purposes or some other sort of help? Or do you mean educational. As long as you read that is what matters.
