The trial that is accusing I.Lewis"Scooter"Libby of being the so called source in the White House/Valerie Plame CIA leak case took a nasty turn today.A hand written note by none other then V.P.Dick Cheney was introduced as evidence in Libby's defense.As you can read here ,the hand written note accuses the president of letting Libby take the fall.

This letter has all the smell of Karl Rove.All we need now is for Dan Rather to come out saying that he should had checked his facts before going to press for this to be a typical play out of the Karl Rove hand book.

Not that I really think that Karl Rove is 'THE' source of the White House leak.That is not his style.No,I believe the leak was none other then Dick Cheney himself.This 'outing' of a CIA operative{and all over CIA agents under her command} is not only evil and deceptive,but against the law.Right up ol' Dick's alley.

That he is accusing George W.Bush,though,is right up Rove's.If I didn't know already who the chump was here,this leaves no doubt.It's George W.Bush.

My advice to you Mr.Cheney and Mr.Rove is this:Be very careful in this dangerous game you are playing.Implicating Bush could come back on you BIG-BIG.If your plans fall through and it is you instead of Bush being impeached,whose going to pardon 'you' ?

What Is Truth?

Jesus answered, "My kingdom does not belong to this world. If my kingdom did belong to this world, my attendants (would) be fighting to keep me from being handed over to the Jews. But as it is,my kingdom is not here."

So Pilate said to him, "Then you are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say I am a king.For this I was born and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice."

Pilate said to him, "What is truth?" When he had said this, he again went out to the Jews and said to them, "I find no guilt in him."


For some reason,these verses from The Gospel of John,Chapter 18,verses 36-38,have really been sticking into my crawl.In a sense,this is a most modern of verses.Pontius Pilate was a crooked politician up to his his neck in politicking,subjecting the truth to whatever terms he could twist it to make it meet his current political situation.To Pilate,the truth could mean almost anything;therefore the closest thing he could say about the truth probably were his words to Jesus:"What is truth?"

Paradoxically,this meeting between Christ and Pilate rings inherently true to me.I find it very conceivable that Pilate could have said these very exact words.But why would these verses even be recorded into the Bible?After all,Christ had just announced that,"Everyone that belongs to the truth hears my voice." Why complicate this message with the words of Pontius Pilate?After all,he did not only question what is truth,but also through implication,imply that there could be many interpretations of truth,or at the very least,that the truth could be whatever you chose it to be?

It is all very confusing.Christ maybe the truth...but ...what is the truth?

Pilate's rebuttal gives us some possible clues into this puzzle.By having Pilate say that he found no guilt in Jesus,the scared author could be simply trying to send us the of message that there is no guilt in Jesus....and that this message is the absolute truth.

Pilate,an early spin doctor,found that he could not spin Jesus.Or,perhaps,better put,found no spin in Jesus.Earlier,in a previous chapter of John,Jesus tells Peter that he(Peter)will deny him.Certainly,then,by proclaiming to Pilate that he(Jesus)was born to testify to the truth Jesus had to know of Pontius' response.This is very telling.Pilate,by his very actions was lost to the truth...even though ,I believe,he truly recognized it.

This is what I believe.But,my thoughts on this are still jumbled somewhat.What do you think?

A Drew Classic Repeat>Can God Build A Rock So Big That He can't Lift It?

Many moon ago,way back in college,I sat in on one of my friend's classes.The instructor took the class outside and sat us on a grassy knoll.The class...Philosophy 101.Towards the end of the class,he asked the atypical beginner class question,"If God is so powerful,can He make a rock so big,that He can not lift it?"Now,even then,I knew this question was supposed to be redundant.It was a question made to make you question,start the mental juices flowing.It was Philosophy 101 afterall.

But right when the class was breaking up,I received the answer.First,the question was bullshit.Wouldn't have God had to have created gravity first for the question to have any meaning?

Good point,I thought,but that could still be considered avoiding the question.Luckily,I was still given the answer.

To make the answer truly work 100%,I felt the terms to the question had to be totally agreed upon.So,I had to dissect the question to make sure we could agreed upon the terms(we being my second voice-my doubt-my editor-my prove it to me drive).Let's do that here.

If(is it possible)God(the creator;the supreme being or beings)is so powerful(able to do anything)can He make (make,build,create )a rock(an inanimate object)So big(large,massive,hugh,etc)That He(the creator;the supreme being or beings)can't(is unable to,or can not accomplish the said task)Lift(raise,move)it(the said inanimate object)?

Now,that we are agreed upon the terms,first off,it does not matter how big the said object is.It could be as tiny as a molecule or as large as a thousand universes.All God has to do is say the he will refuse to lift it.In this case,saying He/She won't lift it is the same as not being able to lift it.It adheres to the possibilities of the question:Object can not be lifted.

Ah,but here is the fun part,then how does God get it to move?This answer also adheres to the question:Can He make-can He Create(This is important)?Yes He can!Given that as a given,God can still make it move by giving it the possiblity of life!Then,it can move itself!

Wow!Isn't that cool! I no longer worry if I don't have the answer to a troubling question about God.I,sometimes even think it is folly to try to stump myself and/or let myself be worried any longer.Just because I don't have the answer does not mean someone else won't someday figure it out.I guess that is faith in a nutshell.

Bridge Climbing

My dirty rotten brother Carl has one up on me.It seems on a recent trip to Cincinnati he stumbled upon a something that has been a big hit in Australia for years but is just coming to the states...Bridge climbing.Both Carl and I(and my other brother,Greg,and my cousin,Frank painted the now defunct Cuyahoga River Valley turnpike bridge-all 180+ feet of it-as a way of working our ways through college).He ,and his lovely wife,Tammie,climbed The Purple People Bridge.While I don't have photos of his visit:I do have photos.Plus photos of the bridge climb in Sydney.I am going to have to hit the Purple Bridge next summer.Anyone want to come along?

Today-January 21,2007-we have gotten our 1st measurable snow of the season(2-3").This is the latest - by far - that I can ever remember getting a first snow(heck,I can remember getting measurable snow before Halloween!!!).It is just a coincidence that I watched ,"An Inconvenient Truth",last night ???

The Benefits Of Green Tea?

Last night I watched a show on the health benefits of tea.The show stated that it was the only natural beverage with both a stimulant and a depressant giving the person who takes it a unique ying and yang buzz.Though we have a bunch of different teas in the house ,I thought I would try a cup of a grapefruit flavored green tea.I did not sleep well all night.At 3:45 am my mind suddenly turned on in two ways.Not only was I aware I was counting down the time until I had to get up(I had to get up at 4:30),I was also counting up the time.In other words I was thinking ,"I only have 45 minutes left to sleep," AND "I still have 45 minutes left to sleep."This went on (still 40 minutes-only 40 minutes)until I decided maybe I should meditate.I started meditating and the name Rita Connolly popped into my head.Now what the hell is that all about!?! I got up and goggled the name,but nothing meaningful popped up.Now,though I have only gotten pretty much 3 1/2 hours of good sleep,feel neither tired or jittery-but suspect I will before my day is through.That was some tea..how do you drink the stuff?

Martin Luther King Day

I have always been a fan of Martin Luther King.I remember-as a preteenager-hearing him preach how only nonviolent and peaceful protests could achieve equal rights.I became more of a Christian because of his leadership role in the civil rights movement.After seeing pictures of white firemen spraying down black teenagers,and white policemen attacking elderly black women with vicious police dogs,AND THE PROTESTERS NOT FIGHTING BACK,no matter how some of my prejudiced elders and friends tried to justify these actions,I just could not buy into them.All I could picture was my grandmother being attacked by police dogs,my older cousins being sprayed with the very forceful fire hoses.AND NOT FIGHTING BACK.

I knew their cause was just.I knew that these whites were ignorant and wrong.Yet Dr.King preached not to hate these protagonist,but to pray for them.He dared to live the Christian dream.It was mind expanding.Because they would not fight,and would not back down,they showed to me that their cause was just.And I became a believer.

It also tainted my beliefs.It made me see the power of assembly.So when Kent State happened,I fully believed that that students were using a correct form of protest.

I could go on and blabber long and hard about my feelings,but I would rather leave you with something from the New Testament that may have nothing at all to do with what we are celebrating today,or just about everything.This is First Corinthians,Chapter 13.It,in my opinion,deserves to be read at every wedding(it was in mine).It is just about one of the best descriptions of love anywhere:

If I speak in human and angelic tongues but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal.

And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge;if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing.

If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous,love is not pompous, it is not inflated,it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury,it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.

It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails. If there are prophecies, they will be brought to nothing;if tongues, they will cease; if knowledge, it will be brought to nothing.For we know partially and we prophesy partially,but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.

When I was a child, I used to talk as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things.

At present we see indistinctly,as in a mirror, but then face to face. At present I know partially; then I shall know fully, as I am fully known.In the end,there are three things that endure:faith, hope,and love,and the greatest of these is love.

There is nothing more attractive then a beautiful woman.And the ancients seemed to have the perfect ideal down pat.Look at this very old painting of what man used to consider the perfect woman...Venus.I can't argue...
..this is exactly what a beautiful woman should look like.

In fact,until the advent of movies and television,fe- male beauty was still defined by the artist whom made these classical beauties famous for centuries for their absolute majestic splendor:Peter Paul Rubens.Being called Rubensque meant that you were by far one of the most beautiful women around...Something I truly agree with.

But,espe- cially with the advent of television-which initially had very small screens-some media/ce- lebrity woman became carica- tures of real woman...sticking out-way out-of proportion in very unrealistic ways in order to better stand out.....

...soon,these new exaggerations became the new acceptable norms.Real beauty was considered plain.But this new look was hard to find and even harder to make and to maintain.So, soon the pendulum started to swing the other way.Fashion was easy to control with thin young models.Suddenly,instead of the almost grotesque overly endowed,the super thin concentration camp waif became the new norm!

With this thought in mind,I have searched the art world for the next super duper beauty type and found it in this beauty from the first half of the twentieth century....scroll down for my idea of the ideal twenty first century woman....

What Neocons Believe

The 2004 book,'Worst Than Watergate' by John Dean is turning into a fascinating-if not terrorising- read.In the chapter dealing with Dick Cheney's secret government[a shadow National Security Council that is beyond the reach of congress and everybody else and which is disguised as a think tank],the author lists,via Republican Congressman Ron Paul,a cliff notes analysis of what modern neoconservatives believe.I am posting that list now because I did not know this was their beliefs:

-They agree with Trotsky's idea of a permanent revolution.

-They identify strongly with the writings of Leo Strauss

-THEY EXPRESS NO OPPOSITION TO THE WELFARE STATE AND WILL EXPAND IT TO WIN VOTES AND POWER.

-THEY BELIEVE IN A STRONG FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

-They believe the ends justify the means in politics-that hardball[in]politics is a moral necessity.

-They believe lying is necessary for the state to survive.

-They believe certain facts should be known only by the political elite,and withheld from the general public.

-They believe in preemptive war and the naked use of military force to achieve any desired ends.

-They openly endorse the idea of an American empire,and hence unapologetically call for imperialism.

-They are willing to use force to impose American ideals.

-They scoff at the Founding Father's belief in neutrality in foreign affairs.

-They believe 9/11 resulted from lack of foreign entanglements,not from too many.

-They are willing to redraw the map of the Middle East by force,while unconditionally supporting Israel and the Lukud Party.

-They view civil liberties with suspicion,as unnecessary restrictions on federal government.

-They despise libertarians and dismiss any arguments based on constitutional grounds.

There you have it fight fans.It is not exactly what I thought they would believe,but the way they double speak everything...it kindda makes sense.

CRAP!Ouch!This was ugly.The only good thing about this game was when they started the third quarter,they played '10 am Automatic' by The Black Keys as a sound bite intro.

UFO's Of Note

Recent UFO chatter seems to be centered around the November 7th,2006 O'Hara airport sightings in Chicago.Why is this disturbing to me?Because it is close to where my friend,Mixter lives.Now,if that isn't enough,what about this....At last count,I have had over 50 hits to my site meter from Thailand checking out my Saddam Hussein/Oklahoma music parody....and they have sighted UFO's[click here]there as well.My good friend,Osquer lives in Bridgeville,Pa.,and they,too, have also been sighting them[Click here].This one[*] could have been near College Town,and this one[**] was in the town where my brother Carl lives.Of course none of these are as famous as the famous 1952 Bellefontaine sighting,but they are way more recent.Having actually seen a UFO[***] and-perhaps even been taken by one{I have never been adequately able to explain the round indent scar on my left calf muscle},I wonder is this some sort of insidious plot?Are they monitoring my every movement?Are they tracking my computer messages?Listening into my phone calls?Even opening my private mail?Nah,that's just my government.Whooooo,I was scared there for a minute.....Mmmm where's Scully and Mulder when you need them?

"Stop judging, that you may not be judged.For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you. Why do you notice the splinter in your brother's eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove that splinter from your eye,' while the wooden beam is in your eye? " This is from Matthew(Matt 7:1-4)

Why is this important?Because by how we judge Saddam,we could be possibly judging ourselves.Think about it.Who sold Saddam most of his weapons of mass destruction?Is that Donald Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam way back when?Can we blatantly condemn him to hell without asterisking * him as possibly being pushed in that direction by the U.S.A.?

Oh what a tangled web we weave.As Christians we should know that Christ did/does not base his ministry on fear,or hatred or even retributional justice for that matter.Jesus is love and mercy.

"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.'But I say to you, offer no resistance to one who is evil. When someone strikes you on (your) right cheek, turn the other one to him as well.If anyone wants to go to law with you over your tunic, hand him your cloak as well.Should anyone press you into service for one mile, go with him for two miles.Give to the one who asks of you, and do not turn your back on one who wants to borrow."You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you." This is from Matthew 5:38-42.

Again,"Then Peter approaching asked him, "Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?"
Jesus answered, "I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven times."(Matthew 18:21-22).

This is the Jesus I know and love.The road and the task would be harder,except,that it is in and through Christ that I am taking it.Therefore,I worry when a so called minister preaches fear,for I do not believe that is Jesus' message.Rather,this passage from Matthew 6:24-26 is more in Jesus way of thinking:""No one can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat (or drink), or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they?"

I have already written and published twice my views of the Book Of Revelations(OK,Trice).I find the fear mongering concerning this book verging on anti-Christian theology.

But if we must dwell upon it,whom and or what is trying to destroy this planet the quickest...Who is polluting it the most?Who is using up most of it's resources?Who is shoving it's pagan style culture all over the globe?Who is usurping Christ's' throne with with anti-Christian messages in Christ's name?We must consider the possiblity of removing the plank out of our own eyes first.

If we are to use Christ's name,we must try our best to become Christ like.In this I pray.Amen

Another 'Dollar Tree' Book

I am currently reading another great book that I have purchased from 'The Dollar Tree'.The book is called,"Worse Then Watergate',by John Dean.

It has been along time since a book has made me soo mad that I have wanted to throw it and scream out loud,"Bullsh*t!"Not that I think this pre-2004 presidential read by John Dean is a lying bunch of B.S,but just the opposite.This -just as relevant now-a-days expose is filled with tons of facts and the footnotes to back them up.What makes me want to throw 'Worse Then Watergate' against the wall is that I can not believe the unethical,illegal un-Constitutional bullsh*t that John Dean exposes the current administration of doing.Not just allegedly twisting and ignoring existing laws and,but also allegedly totally breaking them.According to my view on this book Bush and Cheney should not only not be running this country,but thrown in jail.They have usurped and weakened our one man/one vote democratic system almost beyond repair.

They have no need to disband congress and/or the judicial branch because they have already so weakening their powers that unless something is done soon...they will have no powers!AND THE REPUBLICAN LED JUDGES AND CONGRESS HAS LET THEM DO THIS!

Let us hope that what is written in this book is exaggerating the dangers,or if that is not the case,that the,now,Democratic congress will wake up and fight to regain our freedoms.

My questions are these:Why with all the money,and power this administration already has at it's disposal..why does it have to destroy our country for even more power and wealth!?!When is enough power and wealth-enough to them?I mean,they can't spend what they got.What about the world they are leaving behind for their children...don't they care?A good question...but one I don't have an answer to.
