Books

Okay, Mixter at Mixter's Mix has tagged me with the book meme. The questions are in bold, my answers follow:

A book that changed my life:This is easy for me,The Bible.I have read it so many times I have lost count. If I was going to suggest to someone which book in The New Testament to read,it would be,'The Gospel Of Luke. The book in The Old Testament is really two books,First and Second Samuel. This is,perhaps, the very first novel, and the story of David.Sex,Betrayal,Love,Murder,Rape,War.The book has it all.

A book I've read more than once:Again,The Bible.Other books I have read more then once are,'The Lord Of The Rings',and The 'Dune' Series.I would like to read Stephen King's seven book 'The Dark Tower' series over again. Not because it was great fiction, but because it was great fun.

A book I would take with me if I was stuckon an island:I hate to sound like a broken record, but The Bible.

A book that made me laugh:"Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right," by Al Franken,or 'Prue Drivel',bySteve Martin.

A book that made me cry:'Will They Ever Trust Us Again' by Michael Moore.

A book I wish had been written:The one I am working on now-well,not now,I have to get back to the darn thing.

A book I wish had never been written:'Racing To The Outhouse',by Willie Makeit.Illustrated byBetty Dont'

A book I've been meaning to read:The Complete and Uncut version of 'The Stand',by Stephen King

I'm currently reading:'Death Quest' buy L.Ron Hubbard(#6 in his 'Mission Earth' series & 'Battle Ready'by Tom Clancy,General Tony Zinni and Tony Koltz

A book that really needs to be turned into a movie:Arthur C Clarke & Stephen Baxter's 'Time's Eye'Someone or thing has carved Earth up in time and reassembled it like a hugh jigsaw puzzle.Or 'Prey' by Michael Crichton

Why did they turn this book into a miniseries in the first place:'The Legend of Earthsea' Not that the books were that good in the first place.

Don't read this book before bedtime, 'Salem's Lot'by Steven King. This is the book that made the man who he is.Classic King.

A book someone hands you, you swear you'll read it, you don't, you hand it back and say, wow, it was, um, interesting:Any of the 'Conversation With God' books.

A book you might actually get some use out of:The Bible.Even if you look at it as a work of fiction,it is better for you to follow then LOTR,Dune,Star Wars or Star Trek, etc.
